It Girl, Rihanna is on her
third, fourth, (okay, I’ve lost count!), summer vacation in her native Barbados.
The six-time Grammy winner’s bad girl image was perfectly reflected in her ensemble du jour. The snapback hat, the red lips, the body necklace , I love it all!
Time and time again, she exudes effortless swag.
Oprah came for a visit to film an interview with the songstress for an appearance on Oprah’s Next Chapter that will air on August 19th.
“Oh, you know, it’s just me and Op cruising ‘round town. Nothing to look at over here.”
If you’re like me and can hardly wait until August 19th, here’s a little dose of Rihanna to hold you over.
While The Secret provides a secular approach to the process of “Asking, Believing, and Receiving,” a number of its teachings are aligned with those found in the Bible. The Law of Attraction states that by making our desires known and focusing our attentions on them, the Universe conspires to make them materialize. Similarly, the Bible contains scriptures instructing believers that if they ask and believe, they will receive. “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone?” -Matthew 7:7-9
With that in mind, using Oprah’s handy-dandy O Dream Board tool, I created my very own vision board. The creation process was both fun and enlightening and I encourage you to make one of your own!

P.S. As Oprah says “making a vision board is not a substitute for elbow grease”. You still have to go out into the world and pursue those things which you desire. Only with effort and faith will your dreams come to fruition. Read more: http://www.oprah.com/spirit/How-to-Make-a-Vision-Board-Find-Your-Life-Ambition-Martha-Beck/1
