Japanese designer Kunihiko Morinaga  took the term bead wear to new heights with the creation of her  A/W 2011/2012 collection, titled Melting Pot.  The pieces were created by heating Perler beads together with an iron, resulting in pixelated armor-like garments.

Kunihiko’s avant-garde approach to design has not only garnered her international acclaim, she was also awarded a first place scholarship at the International Fashion Academy.
