Beyonce is back at it again! She’s just announced that she will be performing at the Super Bowl XLVII Half Time Show. I wonder if she will collaborate with Jay Z or the rest of the Destiny’s Child crew. Can’t wait to find out! While I will likely won’t be watching much of the game, I will be glued to the TV for this performance of a lifetime!!
By now some of you must be saying “Solange….again!!” Now since the very early stages of Love Button I professed my love for SoSo, so I simply couldn’t pass up the opportunity to share her latest feature, this time with Lurve Magazine. Bare with me!
In the feature she speaks candidly about breaking ties with hair company Carol’s Daughter over disagreements over the proper message that should be conveyed about choice of hair styles:
““I’m actually no longer a part of Carol’s Daughter, but throughout my entire time working with them, I was constantly fighting for the right message to be heard. The message that, the way we wear our hair is a personal choice, there’s no right or wrong way; one way doesn’t make us more intelligent, or more superficial, and every one makes that choice for very different reasons.”
She of course also had an awesome shoot for the magazine, that included pictures I adored:
As well as some that I’m not quite sure what to make of!
Any thoughts on the shoot?
As I mentioned in my last post, I’ve been working around the clock on the launch of a new venture. Today, I ran a google search for fashion sketch inspirations and came across the work of a Parisian illustrator by the name of Angeline Melin.
Her talent has landed her collaborations with some of the greatest names in the fashion and editorial industry.
Do you love her work as much as I do?
I’ve been a bit incognito here at Love Button for the last few weeks. I’ve missed writing and interacting with my readers! Figured I would let you guys in on what’s going on with me. I’ve been burning the midnight oil on a project I’m working on with a close friend of mine. Both lifetime fashion enthusiasts, we’ve joined forces to launch a venture that seeks to revolutionize the fashion industry by turning the status quo on its head.
I can’t wait to reveal all the deets here when the time comes! Until then, if you are or know any emerging or struggling fashion designers, get in touch! I can be reached at email@example.com.
As the summer comes to a screeching halt and the blistering heat begins to subside, I’ve been in the mood for a long bike ride. It’s been many moons since my last ride and these pictures sure are peaking my interest. But lets be honest, who looks this glamorous biking?
One of the primary reasons I decided to start this blog was because of my interest in being a part of a community of like minded individuals. On my quest to network and build community, I came across Bloggers Like Me, founded by Leslie of Fashion D’Jour.
Thanks to Bloggers Like Me, I’ve become acquainted with countless bloggers I greatly admire. In light of my burgeoning blogging network, I’ve decided to showcase a few of my favorite blogs and bloggers in a series I’ve coined “Currently Obsessed: Blogger Crush.” The series will be commencing shortly as I already have my first blog crush lined up.
If you’re a blogger and you would like to join the Bloggers Like Me Network click here.
In addition, if you would like to be considered for my Currently Obsessed:Blogger Crush Series, please feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
I had been meaning to write a post about Blake Lively for some time now and lo and behold I googled her today only to find out it’s her birthday! While the blond bomb shell took Hollywood by storm in her starring role as the one and only Serena on Gossip Girl, she caught my eye while perusing through Pinterest for countless hours. Her classic good looks coupled with her unrivaled sense of style makes her one of my favorite up and coming Hollywood starlets.

Fashion imitates art with the proliferation or water color print attire. This fashion staple can easily be dressed up or down and worn from day to night.
My favorites water color garments are made in lightweight, breezy fabrics, which are essential during the blistering heat of summer in sunny South Florida.

Those of you who have been reading my blog regularly (I love you, by the way!) are well aware of my unwavering love for Solange. That being said, I was absolutely thrilled about her feature in the September issue of Elle magazine, where she provided readers with a sneak peek into her Brooklyn pad.
As you can imagine, SoSo’s home is a perfect reflection of her urban eclecticism. Describing how her personal style inspired her home decor, she states:
I had a moment when I looked at my closet and I was like ‘Whoa, I don’t really have any basics. And with my house, I wanted to find a balance of having great colors and patterns but also a really livable, warm, serene space.

If you watched the first season of Revenge I’m certain you are as excited as I about the impending premiere of the second season. If you haven’t seen the show, I suggest you do yourself a favor and get a hold of the first season before the September 30 Season 2 premiere.
While I’ve never been one to remember to tune it to a TV series , Revenge was the first show I’ve ever religiously watched week after week.
Here is the promo for the second season premiering next Sunday.
